Here’s a quick one I have in my phone.

It’s a Colorado car, original paint looks amazing. Still has original belts and hoses. A friend of mine is the original owner and is a meticulous caretaker. That’s how I ended up with it.

Have a couple of beers for me this weekend. Wish I could join you all!

Cheers,
Tim

Thanks for the picture Tim! A real RA455 4-speed car? Very nice Formula! You bringing it to MCACN?

The 2019 TA Nat's are now in the history books as one of the larger attended meets in recent history (since the Dayton airport show location) with 485 Firebirds on the show field...almost 100 more than past years.

Special SHOUT OUT goes to Bob "Bentwheel" Bennett for his always special assortment of "fruit pies" in a mason jar and the dinner at Harrison's in Tipp City. THANK YOU BOB! That is always very gracious of you and much appreciated. You are a treasured friend for sure and we look forward to seeing you at MCACN. It was great to see Dave again as well.

We convoyed with Norwood (Craig) and Judge273 (Mike) 106 miles from Van Wert to the host hotel in Fairborn in the most perfect weather for the show in a long time...high temps in mid-70's and sunny! You had to have a sweatshirt for the late evenings and mornings as it got cool. We drove through rain on the way home Monday, but it was worth it and the cars performed well with no problems down or back.

Default Non-Concours Best of Show

Interesting that the car that won (non-concours judging) Best-of-Show was a very nice '71 Esprit owned by John Bonser that is Canyon Copper with a Sienna (214) interior (deluxe of course). What is interesting is that it was originally a paint code 19 (Starlight Black) with a code 'B' vinyl roof (black???) I don't have my books with me currently), but that would have been a stunning color combination. It still had the vinyl top lower belt molding on the car without any top.

I juxtaposed my car in the background for comparison since they are both the same color combination (now).

I recall seeing that car at the TA Nats 10 or 15 years ago. I took a bunch of pics as I liked it so much (looked pretty much the same then).
Edit: found pics -- taken in 2006.

Keith K - You are right...the car hasn't changed a bit, except for the trim rings being added on the 15x8 Rally II's. John did say it was the first time the car has been out in a long time.
