Default Formula hood underside clip

Wondering if anyone can tell me what this clip is for on the underside of my 74 formula hood.
It doesn't seem out of place, but I cannot figure out what it is used for.
Thanks in advance!

I don't have a 74 Assembly manual. The 73 shows the light was cancelled on the 73 Formula hood.
(which basically looked like the 70 except said Cancelled)

Here is the diagram for a 70 Formula hood:

John
Thanks for the diagram!
I have a 74 assembly manual (incomplete copy) and didn't see the light listed in there either.
I appreciate the update!
