Vacuum Modulator Line
I have a 71 Q-jet on my 68 GTO .... should I order a modulator line for a 68, or a 71? They are apparently different ... not sure if I should order 68 because it's a 68, or a 71 because the carb is 71.
Quick answer would be ... does the 71 Q-jet have the modulator port in the same place as a 68 Q-jet? If so I can order the 68 lines. |

It’s on the top right front of the carb in ‘68. The steel line runs down the passenger side of the intake and angles up towards the carb at the very end. There’s a small length of hose that attaches the line to the carb, I can take a pic if it will help.
Here's a '68 carb that was recently for sale:

Mine 71 carb looks like it's in the same location .... so I'm guessing the 68 line would fit fine.
Thank you sir. |
