Nice looking Red on Red Tempest Drop Top.
Looks to be a mid 80's brick in the back ground

Man time moves on! That pretty young girl in the first picture would be in her 70’s now.

I still have not found a Picture of the OHC-6 Engine Production Line, But I was recently sent the Clipping from a Retired Pontiac Line Worker I met a few years ago. It shows the Last 1966 A-body going down the Plant 8 Line in Pontiac Mi. And it looks to be a 4-Door HT Tempest Powered by a 1bbl OHC-6!

Question WTH is that

Dealer meeting debuting the All-New 1966 Pontiac OHC 6.

Based on some of those facial expressions it Likely went a little something like this;

(Guy behind the engine)
Gentlemen! I give you the all-new Overhead Cam 6 engine.

(Onlookers)

Smile Gone but not forgtten

It's been a while so I thought I would revive this post with a cool old clipping.

Love how this Dealership went to great lengths to display/show the All-New 1966 OHC 6. Even used some Tiger Country merch

Nifty photo! Two thoughts crossed my mind, first is someone bought a new car that had been heavily disassembled and reassembled and likely wasn’t told this. Second, is this photo a good guide of how a 66 A body engine bay looked brand new or had the dealership repainted the firewall and or chassis to make it look better.

Smile SHOW TIME!

Looking at the lighter color/paint on the Breather & Fan tells me they Dolled it up. Those would have been painted Black from the factory.

I was looking at the wires hanging below the door and wondered if that even had some uplighting.
