sbc oil pan help needed
Hello again everyone!! It's been awhile since I posted but I could use some help..
We're having some trouble where I work now with a chevy truck oil pan. The one in the truck rusted through so it needs replaced. The problem we've run into is it's a replacement target engine. It's a small block with dual dipstick tubes and a 1 piece rear main seal, 1986 or newer? We finally found an oil pan, out of a boat, that'll fit but we still can't find a gasket. Gm has long since discontinued their gasket, #14101149 and no one can cross it over to a good number. We tried Felpro direct, the local boat place and many others with no luck. Anybody ever run into this and have a solution? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Stacey

The one piece rear main style engines came from the factory without a gasket. Orange silicone was all that was used.
I am surprised that you could not get one at Summit though! God Bless Bill https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...closed.614419/

I remember buying a all rubber one piece oil pan seal from OMC back in the day. They did come in cars and trucks with just red GMS
