66 convertible door alignment wedges
So my 66 convertible has been missing the little door alignment wedges for many years. The door jamb pieces are there, but the part on the door itself is missing. I bought replacements from our host. The replacement came with shims. My question is, do I use the shims, or are they only used if necessary? Do they go under both parts (door and jamb)?
Sorry for the dumb questions, but I don't have the old parts for reference. Thanks, Importsmasher

I can look at my 67 tomorrow and let you know if no one else chimes in. I think the shims are used as needed and they only go under the body side piece but, I am not 100%.

I had to know so I went out to the shop and looked at mine. The shim is under the door part. I used one shim on the driver's side and one on the passengers.
