Is the aluminum trim around the outside of the door/window in good condition?

Default 64-65 Pontiac A post door Hollander #1726

Can take some closer look / pictures but to be honest am trying to sell this whole for a local yard. It is not mine. The car it came from is long gone - likely was crushed in the early/mid eighties.

Looks like a '66 door to me.

The upper door hinge is aluminum. Never parted much first gen A stuff, thought aluminum door hinges ended in 65. Hollander shows 64 - 65 interchanging then 66 - 67. For door hinges. Post trim all there, but has yard damage. This door may have been loose in yard for thirty five years. Just saying but it is solid on bottom pinch weld. Hinge areas and latch areas good. No inner panel speaker cut outs.

The reason I suspect it's a '66 door is because in '67 they started using a stamped steel upper hinge, not cast like the one you have. Another minor difference is with the door bumpers 66 to 67.
The reason I know it's not a '64 or '65 door is because of the outer skin. Note the contour of a '65 door.

I'm not trying to nit-pick your ad, just thought it would be helpful to point out the year differences.

Okay, thanks, am a generalist, with a GM focus, mostly Chevrolet, not a Pontiac expert. Most of the parts I have sold over the years have been Chevrolet. And most of them have been '68 and up. I was going by the Hollander manual, for the door hinge application. For identification purposes, here.

To the top. Apparently then, there were "carry over" hinges used in '66 according to some of the members here. Thank you for the clarifications. Still here, will remove glass and wing window for shipping purposes. Thank you Dave S dona Ana New Mexico
