1955-1957 power brake convertion
Posted this in brake section but thought I'd try here also. Has anyone converted 1955-1957 manual drum brakes to later style dual chamber master cylinder with power? Did you have to move pedal to firewall? What parts did you use?

There is no easy solution here but there is a lengthy tread from an Olds forum. I will try to find it.

Found one from Speedway Mtrs that is frame mount. It comes complete with bracket for frame, booster, master and new through the floor brake pedal. It can be used with drum or disc brakes. After convention may give it a try. If anyone else is interested PN is 9106005 and price is $250.

Weren't there 57s that had factory dual exhausts? How was that routed, thru the x-member? The frame on 57s is technically not an x-frame. True x-frames were only on 58-59-60.
