What is the correct number on the dist? I have one that has 1112121 on it and has a date code of 1H9. I'm sure this is not correct. What is it from and how do I read the date code?

Orbit:
That distributor # is originally for a 1972 400 4V. Your 1970 RA III would have come with a 1112009 distributor if equipped with a TH400, or a 1112010 if equipped with a 3 or 4 speed manual transmission. Hope this helps, Lloyd '72 Formula 400 - soon to be a 455HO, TH400, A/C, etc.; Lucerne Blue with Medium Blue Interior Restoring a '72 GTO 455HO, TH400, A/C, etc.; Sundance Orange with Parchment buckets
