I am thinking about ordering up the 4 headlight bezels and 2 front valance trim pieces but want to hear from somebody who has bought any of these aftermarket items. Are they a good quality? Do all the parts places carry the same ones, or is one places better than anothers? 40+ bucks a piece for the headlight bezels is a tad spendy especially if they turn out to be crap. I dont know how much it would cost to have my originals rechromed but being pot metal im sure its also very spendy. Any advice would be appreciated as always! Thanks

We were at the swap meet at Charlotte this past weekend & Ames Performance was there. I looked at the headlight bezels for the 70 GTO & the chrome on them was excellent! I haven't seen them installed on a car to judge their fit but Ames is pretty good about telling you if a repo part is good or bad in the catalog.

Thanks for the info, I will have to look into it a bit further. I got a dual gate top plate and it was actually slightly smaller than factory and the woodgrain didnt fit right. Just dont want to pay for something like that again. I think i will also get pricing on rechroming while im at it just to see.

I bought 1 lt side headlight Bezel & a lt side valance panel trim from them, as previously stated the crome finish is excellent on both, and I am very pleased with the fit on the valance trim, however the headlight Bezels fit is not quite correct. If it is for a driver, (like mine) they will work just fine. I would think hard about putting them on a show car however.
And the reason I bought just 1 lt side bezel is that 1 of my lt sides was cracked & not recromable any way. And I was missing the lt side valance crome.

Thanks for the info, it helps alot. Now I know what to expect. Perhaps I'll get my bezzles rechromed and get new valance trims. Gotta drop by chrome shop first.
Thanks again!

Yes, thanks for the info!

Just ordered a set of valence trim from PY. My originals are pitted. Probably cheaper to buy the repros instead of rechroming the originals.
