2000 Grand Prix GTP/GTX
Blown motor and tired transmission force me to sell what was once my fairly quick, fairly nice 2-dr Navy Blue 2000 Grand Prix GTP with the SLP GTX package. GTX package included ram air hood and CAI, 17" 6-spoke rims (stock was 16") cat-back exhaust, floor mats and GTX badging. Cloth seats (good for shorts in the summer) are in descent condition, though the drivers seat needs new padding. Heads Up Display (HUD) option. Additional options I added were tinted windows, GMPP adjustable struts 1-2 inches lower than stock, 3.4" blower pulley (stock is 3.8", which I still have) which really woke this car up. Tuned computer (also have original) which also woke the car up.
This had been my daily driver for 9 years and my son's for 1 year. The cost for a rebuilt engine and transmission is around $7500, forcing the sale. If you have access to a low mileage 3.8 SC engine/4L65HD trans, this is the car to put it in. As a clarification, the engine is not locked up, but it was rattling very bad and running extremely rough. The front valve cover and few other items were pulled to see if it was related to some recent intake work, but it is all there, and I can easily button that back up. Transmission was still hanging in there but has been slipping.

Bump.
Despite the location of this post, I do not plan to part this car out...I don't have the place to do it. Will consider serious offers and may be able to deliver at a later date. This is still a cool looking car, it is just too much for me to handle as I am definitely not a mechanic. |

Here are some pics for those asking. 142,705 miles, $1,000. The first pic was at a cruise-in in March 2010, the rest were at the shop right after the engine problems - and it was very dirty. If the snow melts, I may take another pic to show the paint.
