Dave seems to like tall narrow ports. Inlike the exhaust.

But if it's what the customer wants why should anyone care? As long as the customer gets what he/she wants abd is happy nothing else matters

I have no personal experience with Dave's current head.... I can tell you this ! have used dave for 20 years and have only gone faster..
He still holds a record at a local track from 20 years ago and they host the promod glide events...

Those are some tall heads. It looks like he milled out pockets around the ex ports. Is that the only area that gets cooled ? Do they have a shaft rocker setup like a Tiger head ?
Dave has been a busy man it seems. Thanks for the pics Rusty. Think they might pull better than your CV experiment ?

Brian,
They look somewhat like the GM LS Cathedral Intake Port. But since the push rod is not in the port how wide can he go before the push rod angle makes valve train geometry a problem?

Dragncar Yes they have a shaft rocker set up for them. I used to run a wide port Edelbrock head and I had Dave do another Edelbrock wide port head to see what the difference would be. With everything the same except the head I picked up 40hp at the wheel's on a chassis dyno, so yes Dave know's what he is doing. And I am sure this head will be a lot better than the CV -1 I have. Yes I am still trying to sell that head too. Thanks Rusty
