Serial number and build date. The date is still on this 10/71, serial number goes lower in middle about in line with GM emblem.

I have seen ads for this service.

Just started working on a 70 Judge early build 11D..... has no rolled lines on the inner door for the VIN conformity label. I believe the doors are original to the car.

Interesting thread.

Mike, I'm confused. In the linked thread, I see the '73 weight with AC as 4741.

But the sticker you posted shows 4791 with 50 extra lbs on the front.

Sticker is for a Formula, is that the difference? Is the '73 TA lighter than the '73 Formula?

What am I missing?

weights on stickers were based on a combo of base + RPO Codes ( in General)
HD battery / cooling can change the weight, as does dual exhaust, M40, vs M38...
C60 adds a lot.
I saw 2 late 72 and cars were nearly identical, but one was a 4 bll, one two and one had deluxe interior.
The 4bbl car weight like 30 lbs more ....

Probably the reason I copied that conformance sticker.

Here is another '73 sticker. Also posted the '74 chart here. http://www.forums.maxperformanceinc....4&d=1581994949

As you can see they broke it down more and maybe that started near the end of the '73 model year.

Mike, I see the '74 Chart was first issued in late Feb '73. I can't make out the Revision Date when it was Retyped & Revised. But I wonder if the '73 Chart was ever revised from the version you have?

Looking at the '74 Chart, I also noticed the Note 2 stating "Information from Chart or Car Manifest."

That reminded me that similar Weight Information can be found in the 1964 Tempest AMA Specs. Those Specs list the 6 cyl and V8 base wts and the various additions for Auto Trans, Power Steering, GTO option, A/C, and 1 or 2 others.

So I wonder, does anybody have the MVMA Specs for the '73 Firebird? It might provide the specific option weights that affected what was shown on the actual Car Manifest and consequently the Conformance Label.

I have the '64 AMA Specs because PHS used to provide a copy of it with the '64 record.

Could be the '73 Chart shows the base weights and the MVMA Specs might show the weights to be added to the base weight for various options similar to how it was done in '64.

I believe the MVMA listed the shipping weights, not the GVWR.
