Merry Christmas everyone!

This year Santa brought me something very special to me. The same car i was driving when i graduated from high school in 1977, a 1957 VW bug.

I traded it to a friend for my first Pontiac (1964 GTO clone) back in 1989, my friend and I then sold it back and forth between us a couple of times over the years. He died suddenly of a heart attack in 2005 but I knew where my old car was until about 2-1/2 years ago when it was transported up to southern Oregon by his oldest son, unbeknownst to me.

On a rare visit to Facebook I was able to locate it, I ran up there and grabbed it back last weekend. Now back home for good, right where it belongs now.

1) Loading up my prize in Wolf Creek, Oregon early Saturday afternoon.
2) Home early on Sunday morning in So Cal.
3) Bracket racing in 1977, age 18, 14.45 dial in on the side window. It was my daily driver/street racer.
4) Bracket racing in 1981 on my 22nd birthday, it was a dedicated race car by then running in the 12.40s.

Wow great story congrats on getting it back home, truly a great Christmas Gift.
