And we have to ask "did we make it worse ourself?" I'm sure some did.

Yeah.... bad for me too. Sunday morning a woman slammed into the side of my 2000 Jeep GC. Wiped out the driver's door and the passenger's door behind it. Even the right side of the rear axle is messed up. Now it's the old wait and see game on getting it repaired. It's all on her insurance, not mine.

I even had to tape up the top of the rear door so the rain stays out. It's warped so bad I can't even open the door. It's like a new form of air-conditioning

So to all I hope 2021 is better for yas. Happy freekin' New Year!

I’m concerned 2021 may not be much of an improvement

Already had bad heart trouble now concussion, blood clot in the lung and then they moved him to the ICU this morning...

Mom -89 tripped and fell on Fourth of July -Concussion and days at life care.

FIL felt off a couple weeks back. 4 Blocked arteries in the Heart.

Family friends father felt off last week decided to home isolate in case it was COVID Son called to check in about 40 hours later , didn't answer phone - drove over and found his dad dead in bed... COVID case.

2020 has been very challenging for sure in sooooo many ways, but as long as I wake up everyday to see the sun shine and my dogs at my bedside welcoming me into another day, it’s s a good day because I’m still here even being immune suppressed......I’m alive and breathing, and soldiering on. I always keep in mind.....there’s always someone worse off then me, and I make the best with what I’m given to work with.

I have only experienced one year worse than 2020 and it was almost 45 years ago (1976). It started early that year, I was a passenger in a van that barrel rolled a couple of times. Several friends and I had gone to a concert, and a couple of us were sitting in the back in lawn chairs. I was not initially diagnosed with any serious injuries because I didn't have a full checkup. Years later I found that I had several untreated compression injuries to the vertebrae in my neck that were most likely from the accident. A few months later in late spring, three of my friends and I went swimming at a newly formed lake. The water was chilly that day. One of my friends challenged me to swim to a marker buoy and back, and I accepted. He never made it back. A few months later one of my best friends got married, and the other moved out west. I grew up in a very rural area, and the four of us had been best friends since first grade. I managed to find a drama queen for a girlfriend after my friends were all gone, and that didn't help matters any. A few months later, I contracted mononeucleosis and lost my job. It delayed starting college by a full year. As bad as this year has been, 1976 was worse.

This is ironic because hindsight is 2020 and 2020 has sucked!!!

Except for missing a couple of vacations 2020 has been great for me. Lots of time off to get things done. Haven't had this much "me time" since I was 16. Socked away my "enhanced" unemployment the first half of the year, saved up enough to pay for a good chunk of a new truck in 2021. Didn't have to go to some annoying family gatherings. Completed more home and car projects than I ever have in a single year.

It's been like a primer course for retirement. Other than being able to travel ... not sure I want things to go back to "normal"

I consider myself to be very lucky. I am retired, not a very social person and do not need to go out very often. Groceries and a few project materials. My wife would buy groceries on line and store personnel would put them in the trunk. Sucked a bit at first when I had projects and couldn't go into a store. The rules were relaxed. Masks and a limited number allowed into a store. I live close to the border and not being able to cross to buy gas and pick up parcels kind of sucked. Other than that and ending my vacay early and having to stay home this winter, its been fairly normal for me.
