Default Ram Air IV fan

Which fan was correct for a '70 RA IV MT car (no AC obviously)? I believe it should be a direct drive (no clutch) 5-blade flex fan. If so, what size spacer was correct?

Anyone have a photo of the 5-blade 1970 flex fan?

1970 RA IV MT car uses the std. 9791346 five blade flex fan with a 1 7/8" long spacer #9798939 or #3947132.

I am interested in a fan. The ones sold by The Parts Place and OPG (see photos) have the blade holder bar and rivets in silver, but most photos of original fans I've seen show that part painted black. Are any of your fans in nearly perfect condition, and are the rivets painted black?
Can I ask your price, or is that not allowed in tech forums?

Also, I've seen a "rare" 7-blade flex fan for sale on EBay for heavy duty applications. Anyone know about this?

The 7 blade flex was option KB2. It cost $10.53 without AC and was a no charge option with AC (meaning it will never appear on the PHS if ordered with AC). It was not offered with RAIV. I have one, it looks just like the regular five blade flex but with the two extra blades in there. by the way the clutch fan was also not offered on the RAIV.

In my 69 PHS listing I have 5 cars with KB2. It was also included in the medium towing package but on the PHS all the components of the towing package appear as individual options. One of the five cars mentioned has the towing package.

I've never bolted that 7 blade flex on a car but I can imagine it would roar!

By the way, if the above isn't confusing enough..., KB2 was only the 7 blade flex fan if it was ordered on a car that already had the 5 blade flex fan as standard equipment. If you ordered KB2 on a car that came standard with a 4 blade fixed fan (like 2 bbl V8's) then KB2 would get you the 5 blade flex fan that was standard on GTO's etc.
