VintageIgnition,

What's the turn-around time? I sent my 1978 Trans Am tach to another popular gauge company and was not happy with the results. My new quartz conversion clock gears grind when trying to adjust the time (and the hands don't move), the tach is still 100 rpm off (or my digital timing light is off), and they took two months only to tell me they couldn't color match the caution and redline to factory colors to silk screen the face. What would be the cost to just have the caution and redline silk screened, check the tach accuracy, and fix the quartz conversion so I can set the time? The entire face is rust-free, and only the redline and caution line have fading and need the re-color.

Default Rescreening

Asked before about rescreening a speedo cluster. You replied just send it in. Just wondering I am posting two speedo one in perfect condition and the one I @Windex question, can you reply to this thread if you can do it?

I'd be happy to answer your questions. Could you be a little more specific what you are looking for a price quote on? The two clusters are different years and do you want one to be re-screened to look like the other??

Default Rescreen

Don't understand about recreening. The bottom speedo is the one I windex and washed off some of the white and green. The top speedo was used to show how bright the colors are. My question is would recreening bring back the night illuminication?
Or is the colors itself the illuminication at night?

Hi The gauges are illuminated by back lighting. There should be bulbs that secure in the back of the cluster. Silkscreening is the re-facing of the dials artwork. The cost to re-face a large two color dial such as your speedo would be $125.00 Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks
Mike

Check out the vibrant colors on this tach dial. I have exclusive use of the original red/yellow/green and orange line ink formulas AC delco originally used. My dials are a dead nuts match.

That's surely eye-catching.
Sorry for hijacking a thread, but- did any Pontiac ever come with an 8-grand tach?

Default Xlnt restoration and repair service..............

I recently had Mike repair/restore my TA's tach, including rescreening the redline color band. I highly recommend his company for their workmanship and fast turn-a-round.

Thanks Mike :D .

Les
