Gary, that time you passed out after drinking a 1/5 of moonshine with me. Not that time we spent the night together.
Now Steve - if there ever was a post with "too much information" . . .

Time to "come clean", Gary?

ok, heres the deal. this has been an absolute favorite of my wife to tease us about for years now and probably years to come.

go back about 6 or 7 years and the poci nats was in joplin. a friend of mine and i went up there, got a room at the host hotel. i kept trying to get steve to come up, but he wasnt going to make it. well about 4:30 on friday afternoon he couldnt stand me telling him about all the cool cars and said he was leaving right after work and would call when he got there. but wait, he didnt have a room and all the motels were full. so i said you can stay in our room, like any friend would do. well he showed up and late that night when it came time to go to sleep, he realized that there was not a sleeper sofa in the room and was going to have to sleep on the floor. (our other friend was not about to let him have the mattress or share with him. so i said i would pull the mattress off of the bed and let him sleep on the box springs, but the floor would have been better. well, me being the nice guy that i am, i said what the heck. you can sleep on the other side of my bed, just dont roll over and touch me. we even put pillows between us to accomodate our homophobic fears. no big deal to me, steve or ronnie. BUT, when i got home and my wife asked how things went and i told her that steve had come up, she said how did he manage to get a room. i then told her the story and ever since, she finds the perfect oppurtunity to try and embarass steve and i. so we have this joke between us about it. OK OK now everybody knows.

and to set the record straight, i didnt pass out on moonshine. i dont even drink beer at all not even once in a great while, much less hard liquor.

The news about your cancer being in remission is GREAT !!!
Keep up the spirit and whatever you're doing

I don't remember who it was that said or wrote this but it may have been Mark Twain.
Something like the following
He shows up at some gathering of people and says

"Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated"

I thought you had another 68 stored on some land up in the woods you posted a picture of many years ago?

Maybe that was the one you was setting up to race, iirc.

Hey Steve....great to hear that you are better! God must have some really good plans for you. I hope those plans include hitting the road in that 68 GTO to spread the word of God's miracle in your life.

well i see you recovered from the other day. one of the first things to go when you get old is your track of time. believe it or not, it has been 25 years now.
