Default Rim ID

A friend of mine doesn’t do the internet. He has a set of 5 14” rims that his brother gave him. He wants to sell them but asked me if I knew what they were from, besides being Chevy obviously.
Any ideas? Thanks

I’ve seen them on early ‘70s Chevy Novas.

theres a memory whiplash ....

had a 30,000 mile 77 Camaro type LT 4 speed car for a week in the fall of '84 or 5 I picked up off the used car cadillac lot my buddy worked at , as it needed a clutch
and it that had those rims on it ....
I came home from a weekend fishin trip in the camaro 10 hours early, one sunday am because of bad weather. the rivers blew out from rain. only to find a new Toyota truck I recognized in my driveway as that of the painter from the body shop
my girlfriend worked at , I honked my horn in the drive way they both looked out the bedroom window .. Really ! Ok
I backed up 60'-70' put it 1st dropped the clutch and pegged that Truck right on the passenger door ,rocker and front tire .slammin it 6' sideways on the wet driveway pinning the drivers side fender and door up against a 4' tall garden rockery wall
that totalled both rigs .. backed up and was going to do it again but couldnt turn . fender pinned the turned tire ....
my door was jammed .... crawled out the passenger door ...went to the house ,,, pounded on the front door it was dead bolted ... the garage door was un locked ... grabbed a baseball bat from the corner ..
just .as they were going out the back door probably,,,
run upstairs to the bedroom and hear her 81 Z28 starting in the driveway .... musta ran out the back door
ran out the front and thru the bat at them bouncing it off the passenger quarter,,, as shes leavin the driveway

beat the windows out of his truck .....

cops showed 1/2 hour later up with their friends and family... and tow truck
a couple of my buddies came by ...

I went to the pokey for an out standing unpaid speeding , illudeing and illegal lane change with defective equipment from a ticket I got that summer in my 70 OLDS 442 W-30 ,, on my way back from SIR or Seattle international raceway ... for passing a slow logging truck ....gave my buddies keys to the house and told em
to stay the nite ,,, dont let her in ,,,,
got out the next day after they paid the 535.00 ticket and I saw the Judge ...
got home early afternoon
thru her krap on the sidewalk and swept up the mess ..
pulled the motor and trans and put it into a 78 z28
they tried suing me for damages 1800.00 , but my boss had a great lawyer,,, the truck was a wreck he fixed
and he didnt have any reciepts for parts or labor and had not transfered the title at the time ...
I got out for court costs and the 200 he bought the truck for .. those were the days,,,
payed the court costs 28.00 I think it was, and 20.00 a month for a year till he was paid,,
my bosses lawyer just jacked him ... it was just him and his dad ....

what was even funner ,,was the day of court afternoon court time... my boss Peter and ole Mr Ross played tennis
weekly at the bellevue athletic club ,,,, that morning when they returned
MR ross said I could just ride with him to Seattle court house down town I said sure ...
knowing that he had several sports cars I wondered what he was driving...
I couldnt wait ... opened the back door of the shop to see
a brand new 1985 GMC 454 4x4 4 speed 3/4 ton long bed pickup truck .... BUMMER
it was his new hunting rig .............

morall of the story ,,,, even a bad day fishing can turn into a bad day at home

they ended up gettin married for a dozen years has a daughter ..b4 she ran off with a high end used car lot owner

........................................

Those look familiar ...

The day I bought my 68 GTO..

I was told by the seller (my highschool teacher) that they were "Corvette" wheels. No idea if that was true or not. Photo Circa 1976

https://nastyz28.com/camaro/camwheel.html

There are some Chevy wheel codes listed here.
No idea if the Nova used another code? HTH.

Can't say I've ever seen those on a Corvette.

They're common as hell on Novas and Camaros, but I think the 7" wide variety must be hard to come by.

I was kidding about the Corvette rims. Just like every Chevy engine is from a Vet, and every rear end from a GTO, ect
