Default Anyone using SFI TH 400 cases?

So you guys in the 10s and faster are you using blankets, CSI shields, or one of the ATI type SFI TH 400 cases?

I use a basic blanket. Seems a little cheesy though. The CSI shield looks pretty slick but I have not used one.

I use the Shield and it is nice other then getting those two damn bolts out on the sides, especially with a mid plate. The clearance u have now will be worse on yours being your firewall is closer lol

I use a blanket on my current 8 second race car with stock HD case (and the previous 9 second car)- with an oil cooler, no problems ever.
We use after market cases on some of our customer builds - no need for a trans shield or flexplate shield but the case is a fair bit heavier. ATI SuperCase has CNC machined case passages, the Reid has as cast passages, both very sturdy pieces.

I have a shield and the two top ones are heck to get to. The cases look kind of pricey.

I could not fit a shield on my previous 71 Ventura.

Any other options?

Have the CSI on my '68. Had to drill holes in the floor to access the two top bolts. Made things so easy I drilled two more for the middle ones. Of course not everyone will want to ventilate their floor but I just flap the carpet over them. Used to have rubber plugs for the holes but don't even bother with them anymore

CSI shield here. I drilled holes in the firewall to get to the middle bolts. The rest are decent to get to in my G-body.

I think floor holes would definitely make it easier!
