Default Series II 3800?

I am wondering, where is a good place to get the rear wheel drive 3800 Series II engine that was in 96-02 firebirds and camaro's. Looking to replace an older engine. Any shops sell these remanufactured or for not too much money? Thanks!

69lemans, Sorry to take a while (3+ months) but I just stumbled across your post today! I don't know of any rebuilders, but the basic long block (short block and heads) is the same for all L36 3800s be they front or rear drive. If you have a tired or blown motor, but have all the manifolds and accessories etc, a low mile engine of front or rear drive persuasion will work.
