Default Transmission dipstick and tube

Is there a source for good repop 68 GTO auto trans dipstick and tube? Could have sworn I saved mine but can't find it right now.

Ames lists one but it says "Universal Fit" ... don't like the sound of that.

Scott, below is what I found, almost positive this is from my 68 GTO, since I've never owned another TH400 car in my life.

But ... looks more like a 67 according to your photos. The bracket is welded on the back side (rear of car) rather than the front ... any chance they played the usual games with the dipsticks at the factory? Looks like it would bolt right up to the head .. can't test fit it, part of my engine stand is in the way.

Possibly even mattered where they were assembled also
maybe even the production date of the cars...

I noticed they bend very easy at the o-ring ... I'll have to take a closer look at it.

Do you happen to have a set of original "over balance springs" or whatever they are called for hide-away lights? I see repops for $9 each ... but I imagine the originals are better.

Dataway: the one you found looks correct for 68. Make sure to replace the “O” ring before you install.
