Default Looking for a running quadrajet for 400 c i

I am looking for a quadrajet so I can get out of this Holley funk.

something for a 68-71 400 automatic 325 horsepower. I need one that will be able to put on and go. Not worried about numbers matching.

Thanks

Greg

Still need one? I have one that was most recently on a 67 400. It is not an original 67, though.

Some Q-jet builders occasionally have a few in stock, ready to go. Most of the '71- up Pontiac Q-jets have the big "smokestack" vent, which requires a special hole in your air cleaner base. If you want a '71-up model, with a front inlet, but without the big vent, you can buy an Olds or Buick model. Cliff mentioned in his book that the early '70's 800cfm Buick models make good carbs. He also likes the '76-'79 800cfm GM models, because they have the APT feature. May have to modify the throttle cable hook-up, on a later model, or different brand.

Everyday has this '68 750cfm Buick model for sale. Listed for $450, as I'm posting this.

Cliff has mentioned that he is beginning to wind his rebuilding business down. So, I assume he probably don't just build one for resale, but rather rebuilds customer carbs. But, I obviously can't speak for him.

Then there are always the Ebay Q-jets, if you wanna take a chance on one of 'em.
