Thank You, Veterans!!!
Tomorrow is the day, our country set aside to honor all of you, Thankfully!!!
If I ever get a say in this, all businesses would be closed, schools, everything. Should be a greater day of giving thanks and reflecting upon what our country was founded upon. again Thank You!!!

When I was a kid, everything was closed on Nov. 11. I don't know why it was ever changed. We lost a lot of people in those wars.

As a Navy veteran (1970-78, 1994-2011) I want to thank everyone for their support which means so much to us who serve. I am one of the few who had served during the Vietnam and Iraqi wars and the difference of support between those two is striking. I was stationed in the San Francisco area in the early 70s and it was pretty ugly every time my ship left and returned from Vietnam. When I came home from Iraq in 2007 there were over 30 people of all ages greeting us with snacks, coffee, etc. during a 2 AM refueling stop in Maine. It was heartwarming to say the least.
So a big shoutout to those who support the Military and to the USO in Maine.

end of November 1990 finished late January, We stayed at old barracks with the toilets all lined up in a row with no partisans until we got moved into the big brick buildings and broken up into squads. Drill Sargent kept telling us everyones MOS was going to change to 11B due to the Gulf War. Did you have to hold your duffel bag in front of your face and stand in formation for what seemed like eternity while the DI yelled in your face?
Were they still giving out the peanut butter shot when you went there?
