Super Turbine 300 Driveshaft Length
Fellas -
I have a 68 Lemans driveshaft that came from a Super Turbine 300 (2 speed automatic) car. I'm getting a measurement of 56.25" center u joint to center u joint. I was thinking that it would have the same length shaft as the Muncie 4 speed cars, but those appear to be 56.00 even. Does anyone know if the ST300 shaft is the same as the Muncie M20/M21 for 68-70? I'm pretty sure the Muncie output shafts changed in 1971 (went to TH400 type yoke) so the 71-72 Muncie driveshafts are different, I think. Thanks, Scott

Yes, the ST300 driveshaft is the same 56.0"length for all transmissions, except TH400, in 1968-70 2 door A-body´s.
Did not find the application for your 56,25" shaft though. And, you´re correct regarding the 1971-72 driveshafts. |

Does the shaft have any color stripes/bands on it?
Possibly a Catalina/GP shaft? 56.40" long ( 0.15" longer than your measurement)

Thanks for the input, fellas. The shaft is actually 56" -- I measured it again.
