I have noticed recently that some parts prices a disproportionate to either their function or purpose.
Every classic vehicle I have ever had had one speed wiper. My tempest is no exception. I decided I would look into the kits that are available to add multi speed and was shocked to find that not only is the cheapest one 550 dollars but none of them will accept the original dash knob. First off who wants a big black plastic knob sticking out of their painstakingly detailed dash and for two is it really that expensive to build a wiper motor? I guess I will live with my one speed. I have mastered the old on off again habit from my other cars.
