Great score! I would love to do a news item about this for Ponco Perfection.

Thanks guys! LloydTX and PB were the first people I contacted early Sunday morning to let them know that I picked up the car and brought it to its new home. When I get this car running and while in it's patina look, the car will wear Rally IIs. But wire hubcaps with G-70-14 white letters would be appropriate once fully restored.

Don.....I got your email and will call you. Thanks.

As anyone ever started a registry to see how many of the 10 are still existing? I know of a beige/cream colored one near me that needs a full resto that I'm going to try and pry out of the owner who will never give it the resto it deserves. Auto, bench seat column shift. Car was originally ordered by a funeral home owner for his wife to drive and she was too scared to drive it and sold it to the brother of the current owner. Wish me luck!

Hope you can purchase the car. Upload a picture of the car if you happen to snap a picture of it. Good luck!

Exclamation

And then there's this uber-rare Special Order Paint (Starlight Black) '72 Post Coupe WW5. AT the time I was considering purchasing the car you can see what Mr Pope wanted for the car by the attached appraisal!!! Needless to say it was WAY out of my ballpark!

Lyn and Mike........thank you for the birthday well wishes. I like the picture of that 72 Mike; motivates me to get the car going. Lyn, I have been breaking the wallet and buying parts for the car.

if you wade thru this post, theres some 72 POST car GTOs as race cars around page 23...and some hardtop stuff too....

BUT..go thru it all..its an archive that should be here...from the 50s on..and some of the coolest sh!t ive ever seen..i dont understand why why the best pontiac board on the planet, doesnt do more to archive and save the history of our cars..make it a real reference point...too much work i guess..

John, I just read the article in Muscle Machines about your Wilderness Green 72 Post 455 HO 4-speed car. What a cool car! Love the way you finished the car and that you have driven it so much (and so far). You have quite a pair of those 72 Round Port post cars!

BJ

We need less confusion and More Pictures !

Too many guys named John with 72 Post 455HObo GTO 's evidently -
and somebody has a pair of them ??

Too much spinning around going on in here for a car they only built 10 examples of.
You guys get back in here and straighten this back out .
The world is watching

Don Keefe made a mention of giving some press to the Silver Auto unrestored.
Anything come out of that ?

I have an older pic of a restored Lucerne Blue POST 455HO 4spd Bench Seat with White Stripes and Honeycombs and Ducktail
- no idea if its real deal or hand built replica

And a restored Dark Green POST 455HO 4spd Bench Seat with Poverty Caps
- think it is known for sure as real deal car , maybe original owner
Maybe same car as new Muscle Machine Magazine ?

would post the pics but they are on a different appliance. sorry

Went back to the "Stirring Pot" thread and got the WW5 POST Car total = 3

Pretty neat that 3 of the 10 total built , were Full Whammy WW5 Cars
What's the Transmission Breakdown on those 3 WW5 POST Cars ?

We need to make a running list of Known Cars
10 can't be too hard to deal with
It sounds like you guys might have at least 5 or 6 of them accounted for
