Strange Method For Oil Galley Plug Retention
First time I have seen this method for retaining the front press in oil galley plugs. Now if they had only put the piston/rod assemblies in the correct bank and lined up the timing marks on the timing gears properly they probably would have had a decent running engine.

Looks like they tried peening them in with a railroad spike then went full on Larry the cable guy on it.
I like the lettered rods, I guess they were dyslexic though

They drilled the block for a aluminum rivet ?? A little JB weld and staking the plug will do it.
Besides, this guy needs his Pontiac card pulled for the paint job. |

What makes you think he has a card LOL.
"I don't need no stinking card" Maybe it was a Mary Kay car in a previous life

Does it have RRE stamped on it anywhere? Could be a Bruce Fulper engine. He is an expert Pontiac engine rebuilder after all.

Might have worked if he had used silver (1964 or earlier) quarters.

I'm speechless. How can one justify that?
I guess it's what's to be expected for someone who paints a Pontiac engine that color. .

Seems it would be a PITA to do it that way versus tapping the holes or driving in/staking a plug. What does it look like under the coins?
