You lose, about 6 to 10 cfm from the Annular Booster vs the Downleg Booster according to testing years ago
on the Test Stands. So your 850-870 cfm downleg carb might be in the 825 cfm range or it could be in the
830 cfm range. Either way the carb has a much stronger signal to the metering blocks/main jets.

This can be equated to better transitions at all speeds. Sharper response vs pedal position.

The Annular Boosters suck up airflow on the smaller than 750 cfm carbs but the 750/ 780/850 cfm (flow stand
rated using 20.4" of water test pressure) have enough venturi size that the overall performance on the road is worth it.

Almost as good as a Q-Jet or good AFB carb for transitions.
