Question more judge details

ok, my rear springs have a plastic coating on them is this correct & how or what sould i use to put back on?? looks like the stuff you dip your tools in. should this be done to fronts? no coating on the ones i have but theve been blasted???

the rear quarter return on the underside near the bottom rear of whell housing are holes with a tear drop in the metal, does a plug go in there?????

in the inner side of the rear rockers is a drip flap are these available?

body is going to meet the frame this week & need to wrap up these small items

rear quareter rocker panels mine are very dull, are these aluminum or stainless????

thats all i can think of at the moment......

69 was a changeover year on rocker mouldings from S/S to Aluminum (but it only affected the rockers not 1/4 ext as IIRC the switch was done after the 1/4's were eliminated)...

I can send you a small doc I created on how to repair/polish them to a mirror finish..Email me...Here's a b4 and after pic of mine...

Those holes you ask about whith the tear drop in bottom of quarter , yes there is a plastic vent that pops into the hole. It is shaped the same as the hole on inside so it pops in hole but outside it is a square about 1'' with a rubber flap on inside to let water drain out.
Have not seen these repoped. There hard to find. If you'd like I can take a picture of one for you so you see what they look like.

The rear rockers should look great when polished if they are in decent shape.
