1978 W-72 guts: sell complete or part out?
Our T/A is in the home stretch of a complete overhaul, leaving me with a huge pile of stuff. The only moving parts being reused are the steering column, wipers, and LCA's.
The 400 (+ .030") is original to the car, but the trans is long gone and the rear end is from a '79 with discs. All the original smog equipment is present except the downpipes/cat. With more people restoring these cars, would it make more sense to sell the mill in pieces or complete (oil pan to air cleaner, water pump to flywheel)? Block and heads will need to be freshened up either way. Thanks for any input. Not really ready to consider offers until the fresh 467 is broken in. |

If money is a factor, then 95% of the time you will make out better selling the block and heads separate even though your time input to selling both will be greater.

Thats a nice #s matching non557 block and 6X-4 heads. Nice pieces. Id keep the block at least with the car if possible. Jmo
