Tremec TKO 600 is my reccomendation. And for serious abuse the same unit with "Liberty Gears" (Detroit, Michigan) treatment and enhancements.

The strongest manual that I know of is the Dearborn 3 speed.

GM had a test for stick shift cars called the Bonzai Test and the Dearborn was the only one that survived.

X2

I know a guy who abuses his cars like crazy - his TKO600 held up for years behind 700 HP on engine and even put nitrous through it as well.

I went through two m-21's, and one super t-10 before getting a tko 600.

Absolute strongest? Tranzilla from Rockland Gear is rated 1,000 ft.lb. and 1,200 HP.

Ever hear of Auto gear out of NY? had a guy tell me about them and I called and talked to them looks like they build a muncie clone called a m 23 along with some others that are supposed to be very strong. Any feed back from anyone

I'm looking closely at that transmission as well. Basically a beefed-up M22. They make them with 3 different gear ratios, 2.20, 2.56, or 2.95 1st gear iirc.

I have one - essentially they use beefed up parts; ie iron midplate, Supercase, etc. I did not want to deal with Keisler and his empty promises anymore and did not want to butch up my Lemans floor pan. I am leaning TKO 600 for the T/A, mainly for the 0.82 overdrive as I feel .67 is a bit much...

Jericos on the race side. Although one of my Mopar NSS firends has a Liberty box in something like a Muncie case.

My TKO has about 1500 miles on it now.

Guess I need to go out and drop the clutch......

Yup. I run one. 474 600 hp/tq in a 3600 pound 72 GTO with a ram rod vertigate style shifter. Direct bolt in for a Muncie. Runs like an M-22 on the street. I drag race it and Autogear frowned upon powershifting it at that weight and engine torque. But I have not had problems.

When considering what is strongest you must consider how you are going to use it. If you don't use tires that hook then most any suggestion here will work. If you are going to run it hard then you will likely need give somewhere...in the clutch or at the tire or some of both if not something will go boom.

The TKO do offer the O/D and if you street drive it and have a highway streetable engine they seem like a good choice.

I am going to a G-Force with the 535 I am putting in.

And to get right to the point...the strongest (in no particular order) are Liberty, G Force and Lenco. They are pricey but will handle 1,000+ HP at some obscene weights.

Quit being a wuss. I was beating on mine after about 250 miles! I have about 1500 on it now as well and since it is currently on the floor in the garage, I suppose I should change that stupid expensive fluid.

I have the .67 and if I had it over to do again, I would go with the .82 OD with a 3.23-3.42 gear. That being said, crusing around at 75mph @ a bit less than 2000 rpm is kinda' nice too.
