1960 Pontiac / El Camino custom
Saw this over on the HAMB board: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...ustom.1098708/ A 1960 Pontiac that was turned into an El Camino - style custom. It's a project car to be sure but I like it.

There was a nicely finished one in the Norwalk show some years ago- don't remember if it was a '60. I recall liking it a lot.
I also liked PMD's 1959 concept "El Catalina"- looked better to me than a '59 El Camino.

This one has been around a long time. If I recall, it was dubbed El Poncho. I used to know all about it like who owned it and that but it's been so long I forgot. It is a damn nice build though.

That just might be the one that was a feature car in Smoke Signals a few (?) years back. It struck me as a very high quality conversion reading the article. Never really understood the addition of the third additional tail light on each side. Just didn't seem to flow well with the design (IMO) I think it also had a 421 or 455 as the power plant.

I remember seeing the one on the HAMB about 30 years ago at a buddy's shop in Omaha. I remember it for the droopy hoods over the tailights. It's been a long time but I remember it having gold paint....I think.
