power windows
1968 Firebird.
What stops the power window motors from turning when the window is all the way up or all the way down? I don't see any limit switches in the scheme. |

The regulator.

There are stops in the track guides to keep the regulator from moving any further. That's it. Which is why you can sag the voltage on the alternator by holding the button up or down when the motors can't move any further as you're drawing just stall current (and potentially cooking the wiring\motors over time).
