What engine codes should I look for on a '69 Grand Prix with a 428 engine and Turbo 400 transmission??

XF or XG for the 428's. XH or YF if 400.
all #62 heads except the YF 2 bbl (#45's)

I'm curious, I just came across a 69, that I can buy for $400. I haven't been under the hood yet, the guy says that it has a 400, car has 109000 miles, almost rust free. What kind of ponies did these 400 motors come with?

I think 1970 was the first year to get the 12 bolt rear in a GP with the 455.
