Does a 69 GP with 400 engine and automatic have a TH400 trans, or was that an option?

It was standard. No turbo 350s with the 400 until the mid 70s.
The THM350s first showed up in the F-body cars in '75 because of the lack of space caused by the catalytic converter. I don't think the 400-GPs ever got one. |

Partly due to the catalytic converters and partly to the lower HP of the smog-choked engines. Daver

I'm 95% sure it will be a short. I believe the long-tail jobs were full-size only (until '77).

'69 GP model J came standard with 400 4bbl & 3 spd manual... the toploader style.
Turbo 400, as well as Muncie 4spd was an option. Turbo 400's used in '69-72 & '73-77 GP's were the shorttail variety.
