Was it one of those deals where a sheet was found, but wasn't for the actual car it was found in ?

So probably still around?

Car and owner has been found. Sold new in Buffalo NY. I had purchased the car in CO. Owned it for a few years and sold to a local friend. He sold it soon after to a local dealer who put it on ebay (good memory John). I just found the build sheet in the file for another blue 72 I have so just a mistake of my own.

Is that the 72 Trans Am that was sold by Allen Brown, Pontiac on Delaware Avenue in Buffalo?

Matt,

The car's invoice shows the dealership as "Ed Taylor Pontiac" on Delaware Ave in Buffalo.

They probably change names several years after that to brown I’m not sure, but that’s the same dealership where I grew up about two blocks away.

Strange; Brown Pontiac was at 2262 Delaware Ave from (at least) 1960 thru 1980.

And although there were about 5 different Pontiac dealer locations around Buffalo over the years [Main St, Seneca, Bailey, Southside Parkway], I haven't found a 2nd one on Delaware.

That’s what I was thinking, because I walked past that dealership every day going to school from first grade to 8th grade

Just found this to further muddy the waters :

How did Ed Taylor buy out Brown at 2262 Delaware in 1972 , yet Brown was in business at 2262 Delaware in 1979?

I wonder if Taylor intended to, but changed his mind about officially renaming the dealership? I have seen the likes of 'Clark Kent's Superman Pontiac', where in some instances only 'Superman' was used in advertising.

Possibly Taylor bought it from Brown, but ended up selling it back to Brown later.
Have a record of Brown owning it in 1979 and Taylor owning it in 1972 ( which is year in clipping)
