Did 69 4-speed Judge's come from the factory with 62 heads. If I remember right the correct code it 48, but I am having a hard time finding Dec 68 date code 48's so I was thinking about 62's if it would be correct. Thanks for help in advance.

From what I have read 62 heads could be had on a YS code 400, 350 horse automatic car or a YZ code 366 hp, 400 ram air III automatic. My source also lists 16 / 62 / and 48 heads for the same YZ engine.

I agree although it is listed, I have never seen 16 heads on a 69.

My 69 auto judge has 48 heads, engine has never been touched or out of the car. My rusted out but never molested numbers matching 4 speed car also has 48s. FWIW,

Frank

Some of the Automatic 1969 GTO Judge's were fitted with the #48 heads, for the most part the Automatic transmission '69 Judges (Ram Air III) had #16 heads.

As stated, the manual transmission Ram Air III '69 Judges had the #48 heads.

All RA III Judges came with #48s. The 4-speed 350 hp GTO had #48s. while the autos had #62s. NEVER seen a documented GTO or Judge with 16s. Did a Nationwide stuy on this through the GTOAA Legend. Many responses to back up these results. Ron.
