Default ART CARR

Art Carr has passed on Sep. 9. I've been a customer of his since '76.

I have nothing good to say about Art Carr and his business. His idiot mechanics did a lot of damage to my 69 Firebird TH400 to 2004r conversion. Yes, I took him to court, yes, I won. But the year long hassle to get repaid for all of his shoddy work was a nightmare and a half.

Goodbye, good riddance and all that...no love lost here at all.

Are you sure it was THE Art Carr? Because
the folks that bought the "Art Carr" name
developed a nasty reputation. It might be
the reason the real Art Carr got back into
the business with CPT.

That's the name of the business that got sold.
Did you deal with Art Carr himself, or the new
owners? They deserve to be trashed. It sounds
an awful lot like you dealt with them.

I dealt with Art directly…or maybe I should say I tried to deal with him. He accepted no responsibility for the damage to my shift levers, transmission cable, shifter, and other parts, such as my damaged exhaust system. I know who I dealt with, the old man Art Carr himself..

Shift levers and cable? Sound like it burnt on a header or something like that? Explain? In cases like this I tend to think if you’re so wonderful why didn’t you do it yourself? But happy to let you explain how they F’d it up so bad . Typically a trans issue youd complain about would be a major defect.

Please share. .
