Default 400turbo trans question

if any of you guys are familiar with transmission problems i have a
question.I had the front and rear seals replaced on my trans becouse of
leaking problems,but afterthat the trans stop changing out,it pops in
every gear just fine even moves fine in reveres she just wont shift,i
also had a straner put in so im just clueless,the way it goes in gear
so good it can't need rebuilding.

check to make sure the vacuum line is connected to the modulator.

Matt M is correct,

The 1st thing to check is the vacuum line to the modulator. If that is connected on both ends, check out the small rubber lines that connect the vacuum line.

If no problems are found there, try swapping in a modulator you know is good. I dought that is the problem, but it only takes a few minutes.

If it still won't shift, then the clutches are probebly burned out in the trans, you mentioned "leaks", and that usually means running the trans with a low fluid level.
That usually causes the trans to run to hot, and that can asily burn the clutches. I had that happen to me a couple of times in the past.

sounds like a bad govenor gear to me. they tend to apple core and won't let the trans shift when they fail.

the mod is the first thing to look at, if there's fuild in the vac line side it's junk. if it's dry it's probably not bad.
