My opinion:
Original P4B design was a Squarebore-only, with subsequent poor sales, & reputation developed to overlook it.

Then Post 64 Picture #2 came out; a half-finished Spreadbore design (does not seal the Q-JET's Primary circuit) Perhaps aimed at the 800Holley Spreadbores, with Squarebore ability.

Then Post 64 Picture#1 came out, a finished Spreadbore design, with "Oops, not for Squarebore...'cause we casted a whole bunch of thooose, and they be sitting around.

I could be wrong, and would enjoy hearing "the rest of the story"

Well actually, there were some intermediate ones, although I don't know how you see a qjet anything in pic #2 ??? That is a squarebore only intake.

There was a P4B that had the meat of the qjet flange at all portions but was only machined for a square bore. I don't know if it was large or small runner.

Few pics of the P4B-QJ intake I bought.... This looks to be an excellent intake. The flow should match the RPM..

Nice pickup Charles. I've been keeping my eyes open for one as well.

This is a Felpro1233 gasket comparison. The P4B-QJ ports all measure approx 1.12x 2.03.. The torker 2 measures approx 1.03 x 2.04..

Charles

They look as good as the Torker 2..

That is the same exact manifold i have on my car now ! I like it , no complaints about it except that it doesnt have the provisions to mount the later style of throttle/trans linkage . HEI dist fits good with room to turn ,, for awhile there i thought i was the only one with that style of manifold from looking at all the pics of everyone else`s that has posted so far ,,

Have you done any quarter mile testing with it?

Thanks
Charles

i thought about doing that too , but there`s alot to cut out for the secondaries and im thinking it will need a spacer afterwards to give the airflow room to turn into the intake, and since there`s not much room now between the air cleaner and underside of the hood on my firebird , the spacer wont allow me to keep my factory ram air hood ,,

Thanks, I know what you mean, I went into the garage 5 years ago to change the front steering linkage and it turned into a full blown restoration.. And of course lots of dollars..
