Default Repro 17" Rally IIs on 69-72 GP

Does anyone here with a 69-72, preferably 71-72, GP have those repro Rally II wheels? Do you have 17x8 or 17x9? What size tires? Do you have photos you can email me or post links to? Did you have any fitment issues?

I'm trying to decide if I want these on my GP or restore my 14x7s.

17x8s are not available now either. If 17x9s fit just fine, I might just get a set of them.

If anyone has 17x8 or 17x9 wheels of another style, but the same backspacing as the repro Rally II's, can you advise if you had any fitment issues? 17x8s have a 4.5" backspacing, and 17x9s have 5.0" backspacing.

Thanks Matt! I'll go see what sizes and backspacing one can buy those Honeycombs. I bet they are the same as the Rally IIs.

17 X 9" cast rally II with 255/40/17 tires, standard backspacing (I think it was 5") Car is being built up for road course racing, if I were to use it for street, I would have put on 275/40/17 tires to fill out the wheelwells a little more (larger diameter and width than my 255's).

No rubbing anywhere at anytime. These cars have giant wheelwells!

That looks GREAT, Jeremy!

Those wheels came out right after I bought a set of Wheel Vintiques 15x7 steel Rally IIs, and right around the same price too...

Default 72 GP

Im running Coys C-5 wheels on mine w/ 17x8s on the front and 18x9.5s on the rear and 275/40/18 tires. I have BMR 1" lowering springs rear and 2" drop spindles and 1" BMR lowering springs on the front. I did end up putting a 1/4" aluminum spacer below my spring to raise it up 1/2" after this picture as with a deep turn and bump it rubbed. I would have went 10s and 305s in the rear if ide known i had the room left that i do lol.

I decided to go with a more factory look. I ordered a set of 15x8 Rally IIs. It will be cool to see these YO wheels get more common on our GPs though.
