Default My New (to me) 2015 Jaguar F-Type 340hp Convertible

I traded in my '15 Charger R/T Road and Track Edition on this beauty a couple weeks ago and thought I'd share.

2015 Jaguar F-Type 340hp Convertible, Certified Pre Owned with 12,000 miles on the clock; 36 month/10K mile per year lease for not much more than I was paying on my Charger. I love it.

Nice car. I always liked Jags until I owned one. I hope the 2015 has a better record than the typical Jag reputation leading up to it.

Neat car! I saw Jeremy Clarkson do a review of a Jaguar F type convertible a while back, that one had an active exhaust you could turn on and off to change the sound. So this is a lease on a used vehicle? I didn't know that was a thing.

It is the latest thing to get people into new(er) cars. With the price of cars going out of sight many people can no longer afford or are willing to pay $850.00 and up monthly vehicle payments. Used vehicles today can average $500.00 a month. The dealers found a new trick to move cars off the lot.

Thanks! Mine also has the Switchable Active Exhaust which is a very cool feature. The snap, crackle and pop with the exhaust valves open is neat and it's pretty loud. With the valves closed, it is fairly quiet which is nice for longer rides. I've been pretty impressed with the performance of the 340hp Supercharged V6. It pulls pretty hard and has an equivalent 0-60mph time (5.2 sec.) as my HEMI equipped Charger.

US Bank offers a lease on Certified Pre Owned vehicles only. This particular car went through a 165 point check, new brakes, new rotors, new tires, replaced all fluids, etc to be consider Certified Pre Owned.

I think I should be okay. For one, it's only got 12,000 miles. I've got 6 months left on the factory warranty and the Certified Pre Owned Warranty kicks in after that for the duration of my lease.

Warranty is always a good thing. Even better if you never have to use it. Refresh my memory, is 2015 still under Ford control? I am thinking it still is.

Ford sold Jaguar Land Rover to Tata in 2008. All Jaguars are manufactured in the UK.

Have they solved the "Green Shower" issue?

I think that was an epidemic of the early 2000's XK's. I've not read of the issue happening on F-Types which debuted in 2013.

Congrats. Small and well-powered convertibles are lots of fun.

They did a beautiful job with that one - a real tribute to the Jags of the past.

Enjoy!

Very nice! love the looks of those.

I'm envious - really can't afford a 2-door driver type car right now but would love to own a small, sporty 2 door anyway!

Pretty car!

Cannot speak to reliability on the later cars, but had virtually no issues with the 3 earlier XK's that I owned.

Maintenance was often not a lot of fun. I can remember spending a little over 8 hours to change a lower radiator hose, after which my arms resembled hamburger!

Would like to lease an XK-SS for a couple of hours!

Jon.

Cool

Nice ride, but for me, life is too short to own a British car.
