Default Friday Post

This week went fast and it’s nice to have the kids back in school.

Basically having a lazy Friday, I’m about to do a little payroll and probably go have some cheese enchiladas and a margarita.

This weekend has nothing on the radar schedule wise and I’m looking forward to it.

I’m sure I’ll find plenty of things to fix around the house.

At work and it’s been a long week. Shut down for annual weeklong maintenance on our tempering furnace. I hope to leave early so I can drop my main bearing caps off at the machine shop before the snow starts as it’s an hour drive through hilly backroads.
Then I can get home to get the, unneeded so far, snowblower fired up. It’s supposed to snow about 12” here this weekend.
One son has a wrestling tournament all day Sunday, if it’s not canceled.

Just finished up a major project swapping the engine on my stepsons 03 Civic after he cracked the block from over heating it. Bought one of those JDM 50,000 mile engines. It ran for 5 seconds and the cam gear fell off bending an intake valve. Sigh. So I pulled the head, replaced the valve, new head gasket, head bolts and it runs great now. He was using my Jeep during this time and managed to have the door hit when he opened it while parked. No good deed goes unpunished right? I have no idea why the pics load sideways?

Kinda reminds me of the old Pabst beer commercial. ‘Kegs, cans or bottles, they all taste the same. The 3 best is one beer, Pabst is the name’.

S'posed to get major rain all weekend, sounds like some garage time is in order. Bought shocks for the Mach 1 4 months ago, they are still in boxes.

Main bearing caps dropped off, so now they can finish my block. Check
Snowblower fired up fairly easy this year. Check
Come on snow!

Had to make room in the garage for the wife’s Hellcat cause we are supposed to get crazy hail later.

Might go detail her car- get the paint cleaned up and all the Starbucks cups/water bottles out of it.

Last weekend I grabbed a case of beer and buffed out my GN:

Friday, Monday, Tuesday........... they are all the same to me now that I am fully retired. I didn't do anything today except think about what I don't have to do tomorrow! But, that will change Monday! Deer hunting season ends Sunday and relic hunting starts Monday! I hope to find some good stuff before the fields I hunt are planted.

Got the heat gun out and stripping more paint off the GP today and tomorrow. Tons of rain, so staying inside is easy. Paint guy is almost ready for me so I gotta get this done!
