1969 firebird 400 convertible stickers
Does anyone know what these stickers indicate? There are one on each door and one on each Quarter where the window cranks are. LOR probably stands for Lordstown plant but what would the 49 be? It's a matador red car, black top and deluxe interior.

I was told there was so many warranty claims for glass alignment that they started putting these tags on the car to be returned with the dealership repair paperwork to prove the work was actually done. No tag, no payment.

So the "49" would be the plant inspector number I guess.

It might be the week the car was built. How does 49 compare to the build date on the cowl tag?

A Schab is correct. Door repairs were so common dealers were claiming work was done without doing it. GM put a two part sticker on so the warranty claim had to have the sticker with it. It was such a scam that two reps in the Albany,NY. zone mysteriously disappeared over it. I read about this some years back so I may be leaving some info out but the end is the same. My car has them, both parts.
