Default 69 T/A rear leaf springs

For anyone looking for the correct rear Leaf springs for a 69 firebird, Matt (tellyshavilli on PY) has worked on having them made. They are the correct 3 leaf springs and the car sits right where is supposed to sit. It's even at the same height as an original 69 400 firebird convertible I have with the original springs. Very happy with the springs,

Thanks Matt!

You would have to check but the car sits where it should. That's worth it to me. Seems almost all spring replacements sit to high. That was the reason I replaced them in my car, somewhere along the line someone changed them and they were 2" too high. Looked like 4wd height to me.

Eaton doesn’t even acknowledge they exist. I talked to a guy there a few years ago that called himself Mr. Spring, it was a waste of my time. The guy was a rude idiot that thought very highly of himself.

That's a lot of wheel well showing above the tire in the front. New coil springs too? Nice looking car.

Yes, replacement springs were installed in the front also and I'll be correcting that as well.

Guys, I want to make sure that I only speak for the use of the springs that I got through Matt. I don't know that they are the same spring as the ones at Heartbeat. They could be, but I cannot verify that.

Pretty sure Matt’s are his and his alone. Not even sure he has many more left. Guess I better get a set before he sells out

I believe that Matt and Heartbeat collaborated on the springs so they are identical to one another. I'm happy to have a set for my car.

Heartbeat city is incorrect . The supplier I worked with is Bob at Camaro Specialties (716-652-7086 )he has them and that’s who you should contact for getting the best and most accurate set of 69 Firebird Trans Am rear leaf springs that are available . thank you

Matt,
Are these a 3-leaf spring as indicated in the original post or a 4-leaf? I was of the understanding that 69 T/A had 4-leafs originally.

They are 3 leaf and that’s exactly what 69 TAs have from factory
