Default Special-order colors for 1968

Might anyone have a Pontiac document that states Pink Mist (as well as Carnival Red, Windward Blue, and Marigold Yellow) were unavailable on Firebird until Spring 1968?

Did these colors fall under the SPS cost of $83.20?

Rocky, dealers were issued a Sales Manual Release #9 on March 29, 1968 titled, Special Order Exterior Colors. Those four colors were identified as, “...four new special exterior colors with trim compatibility. These colors are available on all Pontiac, Tempest and Firebird series except GTO with Endura bumper.”

SPS cost was $83.20
STT costs were:
Two-tone 223 (Except convertible) $114.80
233, 235, 237 (Except convertible or station wagon) $123.22
23535-23935 $99.00
252, 256, 262 (Except convertible) $114.80
266 $123.22

A paint color chip sheet (page R-5) was also supplied—

Interior trim recommendations:
BLACK or PARCHMENT for all four colors
BLUE, TEAL OR TURQUOISE for Windward Blue
SADDLE for Marigold Yellow

Special order paint numbers:
Pink Mist (868-99466)
Carnival Red (868-99539)
Windward Blue (927-99576)
Marigold Yellow (L67YD003)

A new exterior color sheet was also released as page no. R-4-A. Titled “New Exterior Color For 1968,” it identified Autumn Bronze as a late addition to the color pallet. By late, I'm guessing that this color was added at some point after the sales manual was released in late summer 1967.

Those sheets (R-4-A and R-5) can be found here, in case someone was curious.

Eric, thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for! I have the 1968 Dealer Album with the pages noting color additions, but didn't have the release that accompanied them.

As far as Autumn Bronze in concerned, from what I can tell, it seems as if it was released in December 1967. Does that coincide with what you found?

Sorry Rocky, while my page R-5 is accompanied by a cover sheet that is dated, page R-4-A does not have a dated cover sheet page.

Is it known when Corvette Bronze was made available for the Camaro?

I'm gonna guess it's the same for the Firebird.
