Default Checkball

So cleand everything and saw the other end carb has also a stuckin checkball in the pump channel ..so my big question how will the carb react when those Checkball stuck as i understand assume the fuel is pickup through the fuel filter screen to transfer in the pump channel so ill think there will be not enough fuel for accellerator shots?

The balls need to come out, or the accelerator pumps will not function.

Default Checkball

Jon thanks for your response...but isnt the channel under the checkball not only a additional fuel supply ...? As i see therse big slot in acc pump channel where the pump rides where fuel can come in to give a shot ? i will make a test and fill the bowl an see what happens...

Its 421 wirth ramair 4 cam.....i bought the the car as is .since the tripower was running very rich i removed the carbs...to look and saw a lot of things wrong....to be ready i ordered a lot of tripower parts from tripower.com ; several weeks ago ...a lot of rebuild and tuning parts an idle tube drillkit and also got your dvd....after removing the carbs i saw wrong fuel inlets, jetting was not ideal ,one brass float was leakin..i replaced a lot of parts also modified the power piston spring cuttin four coils...but didnt install the carbs after seeing tge stuck checkballs....one other reason maybe for also running rich throttle blades are to far open the transfer is uncovered 0.075 far away fromm the preferred 0.020..but dont think the cam will idle with under 0.040 uncover transferslot...

But before installing the carbs have to solve this stuckin checkball issue....since theres also a big slot in the pump channel where the pump rides assume theres also coming fuel to fill but dont know if the works sufficient...

On occasions when I've serviced 2G carburettors where someone previously put in the big steel ball under the acc pump and it's stuck, I've taken a 10-15 cm brake pipe and pushed it against the inlet hole where the acc pump filter sits, filled the pipe with oil and held a screw that just fits inside the pipe and tapped on the screw, which then pushes the oil down into the space under the ball and causes it to come loose. Wear safety glasses during this maneuver and cover the acc pump race with a cloth so you don't have to look for the bullet that flew away.

As has been stated, someone put the wrong check ball in the accelerator pump well. I have removed dozens of them using a method I posted a few years ago on this forum. Kenth described it, but you will see pictures of the actual removal if you search the forum.
You can email me at bocoogto@gmail.com for detail. Meanwhile, I will try to find the link to the info.
