Default 1965 GTO on BaT

Neat ‘65 GTO.
High mileage, but has many options and the ultra rare front aluminum brake drums.

185k miles. Love that the owner wasn't saving it for the next guy.

Don’t see too many ‘65 GTO’s on BaT being sold by the original owner. Those maintenance records going all the way back to the purchase new from dealer are fantastic

I was awfully tempted to take that car down at 33k. ...chickened out I guess..LOL

Curious what you see looking at the red/red convertible coming up. A documented tri-power 4 speed convertible is on my hit list, (without buying a 6-figure #1 restoration) But I think there's rot in the doors and a little in the trunk seam. The pinch weld seam looks incorrect, lip on the rocker folding under. The lower quarter on pass side looks to be full of mud. I know about all the incorrect parts, wrong belt line trim, interior, etc, but I am curious what others think might be hidden under the re-sell red paint?

If you are talking about this car ….. I say JUNK.
I glanced at it for about 1 minute and that was a minute too long.

Forgive me but I’m all about Factory Original cars, not hot rods.

The Burgundy ‘65 that just ended on BaT was a decent repaint, but it had the Original powertrain with documentation. That is paramount!

That is the one, so we agree, lipstick on a pig, lol. I think whoever did the car 20 years ago had no idea what a tri power 4 speed convertible means.

Agree on burgundy car too. Coulda Shoulda Woulda, I guess.
