My wife fought a similar battle with cancer for over 10 years.
She went to be with God last August. She fought the deal the whole time
and was always smiling around others. I was married to her for 44 years.

She knew she would never actually 'beat" her type of cancer but she never let
it slow down her making knitted blankets and hats for other cancer patients.

Unfortunately as humans we have to say goodbye to to the ones we love but hopefully you can be comforted by the thought that God is there to welcome them home.
